How a Mindfulware engagement works: Discover, Design, Engineer, Deploy

    Every Mindfulware engagement runs through the same four steps: Discover, Design, Engineer, and Deploy & Support. It is a disciplined process that de-risks delivery and produces systems your teams can trust in production. The shape is the same whether the engagement is a 1-Day Working Session, a 2-Week Discovery Sprint, a 4-Week Prototype Sprint, or a full custom build scoped out of Discovery.

    Discover

    Discover is where we immerse in your business, data, and constraints — defining the problem, success criteria, and the path to measurable impact. In a 1-Day Working Session, Discover is the whole day: one problem, real data, a concrete next step. In a 2-Week Discovery Sprint, Discover is the first half of the sprint and is what makes the architecture that follows honest.

    The point of Discover is to disagree with the sales-call description of the problem before we have written any code. Most AI projects that fail, fail because Discover was skipped or performed by people who did not have to build the result.

    Design

    Design is solution architecture, model selection, data strategy, and integration plan — reviewed against security, scale, and operational fit. In practice this is where the decisions that determine whether the system survives production get made: where the model runs, how data flows, what the human review step looks like, what the accuracy bar is and how it is measured, and what the failure modes are.

    Design is deliberately a written artifact. A build team executes against it, and a compliance team can read it and answer their own questions before onboarding.

    Engineer

    Engineer is where senior engineers build the system in tight iterations: clean code, rigorous testing, and transparent progress against milestones. There are no junior engineers offshored to a subcontractor learning your domain on your budget. The people who designed the system are the people who build it, and progress is reported against the milestones agreed in Design, not against a story-point burndown.

    In a Prototype Sprint the Engineer step is the sprint. In a full build it is the long middle of the project, and it is where the accuracy bar and the reviewer step defined in Design get calibrated against your real data.

    Deploy & Support

    Deploy & Support is where we ship to production and stand behind it — monitoring, tuning, and evolving the system as your business grows. AI systems drift: data changes, prompts age, model providers roll versions, and a system that hit its accuracy bar in month one can quietly slip in month six. Deploy & Support is the mechanism that catches it. Post-launch, that continues as AI Drift Reviews, billed hourly at $225 per hour with a two-hour minimum, so you can order a check-up without opening a new statement of work.

    The four steps are not a marketing framework. They are what a build looks like when the same senior team is responsible for the outcome from the first conversation through production.
